THE PROBLEM
“Medical schools, hospitals, and health clinics need to explain complex procedures to patients. Problem: diagrams and videos feel impersonal. Solution: rear-projected surface where a life-size anatomical model is placed in front. The rear-projection shows the same anatomical area in cross-section, with animated pathways of blood, nerves, infection, or healing. The patient sees the 3D model AND the cross-sectional education simultaneously. Understanding increases. Fear decreases. Compliance increases. Patient satisfaction increases.”

THE QUESTION
“Can rear-projection teach patients about their own bodies? Can the material improve medical outcomes?”
