BRIEF 05 — LUXURY FABRIC THEATER
THE PROBLEM
“A high-end fabric supplier (textiles, leather, materials) needs to sell architects and designers on their products. Problem: a fabric swatch is two inches. A designer needs to imagine a 10m × 3m wall. Solution: rear-projected surface where fabric swatches are placed in front. The rear-projection shows a photorealistic interior space upholstered entirely in that fabric at full scale. A leather swatch becomes a leather sofa, wall, staircase. A textile becomes a curtain. The designer sees the material in context, at scale, photorealistic. They buy immediately because they've already visualized the final installation.”
